Cinco de Mayo Drink Recipes: Michelada and Agua Fresca!

Fiesta Sustainably with Pirani

Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner and we are ready for some fun in the sun. Last year we shared our favorite Cinco de Mayo Margarita recipes, so this year we decided to switch it up and share a couple unique favorites. Although Cinco de Mayo is more commonly celebrated in the States than in Mexico, it’s still a great time to learn more about Mexican culture and try making something new!

And, of course, while enjoying these festivities, it's great to consider sustainability and reduce our environmental footprint. That's where Pirani comes in! With our reusable cups, you can #PartySustainably while enjoying your favorite Cinco de Mayo drinks. Whether you’re going down to the beach for the day, enjoying a sunset stroll in your neighborhood or just hanging on the back porch with a drink and snacks, using Pirani ensures you’re doing it sustainably. And after you’re done, stack ‘em up and throw ‘em right in the dishwasher!

Michelada

First up, we have the Michelada, a beloved Mexican beer-based cocktail with a refreshing twist. There are quite a few variations to this classic drink, but here’s the one we love:

Keep your drinks cold for hours in a 16oz or 26oz insulated stackable Pirani while you enjoy the sun!

Watermelon Agua Fresca Cinco de Mayo Drink Recipe
Watermelon Agua Fresca (Non-Alcoholic)

For a non-alcoholic drink, try this Watermelon Agua Fresca. Agua Fresca can be made with a variety of different fruits. They’re super popular in Mexico where you can buy them from stands on the street or in the local plazas. It's pretty easy to make and perfect for keeping you refreshed on a warm day!
