Improved, but hinged cap breaks way too easily
As a purchaser of the original lid that cracked like so many others did, I was glad when the new one came out. However, the tiny, virtually microscopic hinge pins on the drink spout cap break with the slightest of blows. When this happens, the lid is no longer "leak proof" and one's coffee gets cold much faster. $7 for a new lid is quite high, should one want to keep up with "sustainability." But truly, what is sustainable about having to throw away a plastic lid that becomes so easily useless?
Pirani Life
Hi David,
We are perpetually working on finding more ways to be a sustainable business, and you are correct, having a faulty lid that could be creating waste is not acceptable. That being said, our first lid was not leak-proof and many people still enjoy it, so please don't throw your lid without flip away! It still has use! Or, if you really don't want to use it without the flip, we can send you a return label for it so that it does not end up being wasted. We would love to get you a replacement for your lid that broke. Please email us at support@pirani.life with more details so that we can take care of that for you!
